Believers Fellowship

Capital Campaign

Dear Friends,

I am glad for the opportunity to talk to you and to invite you to participate in the Capital Campaign of Believers Fellowship. There is this mistaken notion that the church is a building where you attend religious services; however, the church is actually made up of people who have become followers of Jesus Christ. So, why would we need to raise funds to develop a "church" campus? The facilities that are developed are important in two very specific ways: 1) A developed campus with a dedicated auditorium, kitchen, world-class nursery, youth center, KIDZ Rock World, playgrounds, walking paths, picnic areas, a courtyard and gym provides a place that serves the needs and activities of our congregation. 2) It also assists us in our work of reaching the community that surrounds us.

According to Jesus' teaching on the Great Banquet, there is the aspect of the harvest where we go out and touch the lives of people, and then there is the "place" where we bring the harvest in. I am convinced by the words of Jesus that the "harvest is plentiful" and at Believers Fellowship we want to aggressively go out and bring that harvest in. Obviously, all the funds that Believers Fellowship receives do not go into construction costs and the campus development; however the more generous we are in our participation in the Capital Campaign, the more our general funds can be used to support both our staff and the ministries that they lead.

When someone talks about money and giving I get nervous. I once went to a timeshare vacation presentation. I was pressured--manipulated--pushed--maneuvered, and harassed for several hours...needless to say, it wasn't a wonderful experience. The Capital Campaign is not about twisting your arm to do something that you cannot afford to do, it is an invitation to help Believers Fellowship fulfill its mission. Please prayerfully consider being a partner with us in this effort.
Blessings,

RJ Dugone
