Women's Ministries
Purpose Statement: To fulfill the Scriptural mandate that older women should be involved in the process of making disciples of younger women (Titus 2:3-5).
Ministries for Women
- Bible Studies meet weekly in small groups. Each study has homework to be completed outside of class. The meetings provide opportunities for women to encourage each other, pray, share, and grow in their knowledge of the Word.
- TLC Ministry provides meals during times of special need such as illness, surgery and childbirth.
- Kitchen Ministry assured the kitchen is well stocked, organized and clean.
- Hospitality Ministry coordinates the food and drink that are served at church-wide events.
- Fun/Fellowship Ministry plans and implements fellowship activities such as movie nights, shopping trips, game nights, craft nights, dinner out or in and the Ladies Tea.
- Retreats and Seminars are designed to; (1) relieve women of the routine and pressures of daily life so they can focus wholly on seeking God; (2) strengthen women spiritually through concentrated teaching; (3) provide opportunities for uninterrupted fellowship time with other Christian women; and (4) provide an environment for unbelievers to see Christ in the lives of believers.

A Change for Women's Ministry....When Believers Fellowship planted in Leander in 2003 (then named CP03), Women's Ministry was the only solid ministry that continued from NACC (North Austin Community Church). Pat Wassell picked up the role and continued to lead the women in our church through today. She has been very faithful in serving the women of Believers Fellowship with many seminars and retreats, countless Bible Studies and Heart to Hearts, and caring for our congregation during illnesses, new births and new marriages, etc.
Just recently, Pat has transitioned out of the position of Women's Ministry Director.
Many thanks to you Pat for your steadfast love for our Daddy and His daughters! We are so thankful that you led Women's Ministries at Believers Fellowship during the last 9 years....and the many years before then. We look forward to witnessing what God has planned for you next with the many gifts He has blessed you with.
What's next for Women's Ministry?
This ministry is blessed to have another great and gifted leader - Gina Frank.
Gina was sought after and appointed by Pat as she felt this was the best next step for the ministry. As Pat mentioned recently, "Gina has been prepared....for such a time as this". As you may be very acquainted with, Gina is a mighty talented woman with the gift of song (worship), a teacher, a minister (serving), etc. She is an amazing momma to her two boys too!
