A common mistake made by many a church organization is that of trying to do too much. By taking on too much we spread our resources thin--sometimes to the breaking point. (It is easy to exhaust both our people and finances) Although we at Believers Fellowship would like to develop a ministry for every need, we also realize that it is an impossible quest. So, we have asked the following question: "What does God want us to do and where does He want us to spend our resources?" This is the guiding question for everything that we are doing as a fellowship.
Where other church or charitable organizations in our community are meeting needs in areas of ministry where we offer no programs or solutions, we believe that we should assist them. We can do this by cooperating with them, sharing resources and sending people to serve with them. At Believers Fellowship we want to actively love, support and encourage the over-all work of the ministry in our community. Further, we recognize the value of the other pastors, churches, charities and parachurch organizations that are working in God's Harvest.
You will see the following byline in most of our materials: "Building the church of tomorrow by intentionally investing in children, youth and young adults today." This is the "calling" of our fellowship and should be reflected in the way we develop and carry out the work of the ministry. We are endeavoring to build a Christian Fellowship that is viable for the foreseeable future.
